HCGT uses ventilated coal mine methane gas that would otherwise be vented to the atmosphere, as a fuel source to generate cleaner energy.
EESTech said a standard configuration HCGT would generate cost-effective clean coal energy, reduce the carbon signature of coal mines and produce significant carbon abatement credits.
“The establishment of a commercial agreement with AGL provides a significant commercial opportunity and will help EESTech introduce the HCGT to the Australian coal industry,” EESTech CEO Murray Bailey said.
