Dunn has served as sales manager for Longwall Associates for the last seven years. The company said he was known not only for his serious industry commitment, but also for his British wit.

Prior to joining Longwall Associates, Dunn served in many capacities with American Longwall, Joy Mining and Mining Supplies. He began his professional career in Australia, working for International Harvester and HH Green.

Dunn is a graduate of Doncaster Technical College in England and Gordon Institute of Technology in Australia, where he earned his certification as an electrical mechanic.

Officials for Longwall Associates noted his achievements both with the company and during his long career, including his involvement in the sale of more than 200 longwall conveyor systems since the 1980s. He also surpassed the $US150 million mark in sales while with the company, and co-authored its Low Seam Technology and other LA-exclusive programs.

“During Ken’s lifelong career in the mining industry, he has become well known throughout the USA, Australia and China for his technical knowledge and savvy in longwall equipment design, performance and preventative maintenance,” noted company officials.
