Joy talking staff cuts at UK plant

EQUIPMENT manufacturer Joy Mining Machinery could potentially cut up to 36 jobs at one of its UK ...

Company representatives at the Worcester plant would not reveal the specific number of affected employees to local newspaper the Berrow’s Worcester Journal, but did confirm talks on the topic were in progress.

“Joy Mining Machinery has begun consultations with trade union representatives about a proposed redundancy at the Worcester plant,” human resources director Geoff Matthews said.

“The company will not make any further comment until those consultations are completed.”

No information on total staff numbers was provided.
