DBT America announces executive appointment

DBT AMERICA has hired Marc Fetten as its vice president of Finance, reporting to CEO Bill Tate.

Fetten joined the company on April 1, following ten years with the global group Bayer. During the last five years, Fetten worked as director of mergers and acquisitions with the US$10 billion plastics and high-tech materials division in the US.

Prior to that he worked in Bayer's German headquarters in various financial and controlling functions.

He joined Bayer's international executive development program in 1994 and earned an MBA in 1999 from Bradford University Management Centre in the UK.

Fetten will be responsible for DBT America's general finance areas such as accounting and reporting, planning and budgeting, as well as overall corporate strategy and human resources.

"DBT America will continue to focus on serving our customers and will drive technology developments forward to improve the efficiency of mining," Fetten said.
