The new contracts will translate to about $A113 per tonne, compared to the $A130 received for 2005-06.

The company said the price showed Gloucester coking coal had maintained its relativity between hard coking and semi-soft coals by pricing between the benchmarks for those two coals.

Gloucester said its high ash thermal coal remains predominantly contracted at just under $US40 per tonne for the remainder of the half-year ending June 2006.

Gloucester was trading mid-morning at $A2.98.
