The recommendations for operations include:

Instead of hoses, equip with galvanised steel pipes;

Two branch lines should be used, one to feed the sprinklers above the top belt and the other to feed the sprinklers between the top and bottom belts;

Branch lines should be positioned on opposite sides of the belt structure;

Upright sprinklers should be used, and installed in the upright position; and

The sprinklers and surrounding area should be free of debris and other items/materials that may obstruct their operation.

The agency also noted that any old sprinkler piping should be removed and an upright sprinkler should be located every eight feet.
