The move fortifies Fuchs' strategic postion in New South Wales' coal-rich Hunter Valley region where the Germany-based manufacturer supplies miners with a variety of essential lubricant products.

“I very much enjoyed my visit and the hospitality of the Fuchs Australasia team,” Fuchs said at his company's Australasian sales conference.

“There is an enormous amount of drive, dedication and commitment amongst the team here, which will undoubtedly be the basis for further success in the future.”

Part of a global investment program by the Fuchs Group, the announcement of additional investment into the region follows last year’s launch of a world-class regional lubricant laboratory and technical centre in Melbourne.

“We were proud to welcome Fuchs Group chairman and CEO Stefan Fuchs and Fuchs Petrolub AG executive board member Dr Georg Lingg to our national sales conference,” Fuchs Lubricants (Australasia) managing director Wayne Hoiles said in a statement.

“The initiatives announced at the conference testify to the great track record of Fuchs Australasia and the Fuchs Group’s commitment to our region.”

The national sales conference was held at Mansion Hotel and Spa in Werribee Park and featured three days of technical training, new product information, corporate updates and marketing initiatives.
