First launched at this year’s Asia Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, the personnel carrier is powered by an 80 kilowatt, Tier 3 (Euro IIIA) mechanically injected turbocharged diesel engine.
The underground vehicle is also in line with New South Wales Department of Primary Industry MDG29 requirements to “use modern engines which meet American and European EPA tiered requirements”
Industrea said its recently released 70 tonne Mine Dozer had also received a strong response from the industry.
Other highlights for the 2011 financial year included commencing production in China of a high volume personnel carrier and the establishment of a gas management business.
Industrea said it intended to further develop the business into a fully integrated gas management offering for Australian, Chinese and Russian underground coal mines.
Industrea will continue to increase its presence in Russia’s deep and gaseous coal mines following a contract for ten gas drainage and directional drilling systems, the company’s largest single sale into Russia to date.
Industrea recorded group revenue of $357 million, up 14% on the same time last year due to strong global sales of mining technology products as well as the expansion of the mining services division’s mine contracting agreements.
Industrea has a confident outlook for the current financial year, with plans to capitalise on the growth opportunities in Australia’s underground and open cut mines.
“The continued expansion of Australia’s underground coal mining sector will again propel sales for the mining equipment, mining technology and gas management divisions,” Industrea chief executive officer Robin Levison said.
