Subsidiary Homeground Gladstone has signed an exclusive accommodation agreement with ConocoPhillips, the downstream operator of the Australia Pacific LNG facility on Curtis Island near Gladstone that shipped its first cargo recently.

Once complete, the facility will comprise of two LNG processing trains, each with a nameplate

capacity of 4.5 million tonnes per annum.

Homeground will provide ConocoPhillips with accommodation for all shutdown workforce requirements, including major plant shutdowns.

The agreement will see Homeground transition, in-line with the market, to the operational phase of the major LNG projects in the Gladstone region.

Homeground also provides shutdown accommodation requirements to Rio Tinto’s Yarwun Bauxite refinery in the region.

Decmil Group managing director Scott Criddle believed that Homeground has developed a strong reputation with the major project operators in the Gladstone region as a temporary workforce accommodation provider of the highest standard.

“This partnership with ConocoPhillips will see Homeground become an important service

provider to Australia Pacific LNG by providing the infrastructure to manage all temporary workforce accommodation requirements,” Criddle sadi.

Decmil says Homeground Gladstone is its flagship property, and that the village “offers transient workers a much improved standard of living while working away from home”

The 1392 room camp is the largest accommodation facility in the region, and aims to make booking workplace accommodation easy, convenient and affordable.

The site contains four star recreational facilities including swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, gym, recreation centre, theatre room, licensed tavern and games room.

The facility offers three meals per day and shuttle bus facilities from its location, at Calliope, just outside Gladstone.
