Launched less than a year ago, the NICS provides the infrastructure sector with a database of known and forecast infrastructure investment across all levels of government.

To date, the NICS website has received nearly 2 million hits.

The easy-to-navigate website provides instant updates on existing and forthcoming projects, as well as enabling users to search for projects on a national level through the search tool.

The site hopes to attract more people into the sector and encourage healthy industry competition.

Projects recently added to the NICS site include the $1.6 billion Port of Melbourne port capacity project and the $300 million Blacktown Mt Druitt Hospital stage 1 expansion.
