As part of the switch-over, the company will integrate its existing SCADA system to eDNA at its headquarters using the OPC server program.

It will then collect and centralise data from all mine-level production automation subsystems and real-time operational data from its coal mines throughout China.

This will provide integrated storage and presentation of all production data.

Real-time machinery sensor data from underground mines will be stored within eDNA for analysis and reporting purposes.

The eDNA installation is being completed by local partner Beijing Yunhanlongxing Tech.

"We are excited to work with ChinaCoal on such a significant project that will provide real-time, centralised visibility into the critical operational, performance and asset health related aspects of their business," InStep Software president John Kalanik said.

The software collects continuously streaming time series data from critical control, monitoring and smart devices and then archives the data using an advanced storage and lossless compression technology.
