The widely-recognised reports by IT research and advisory company Gartner, titled ‘Magic Quadrant for Utilities Geographic Information Systems’, evaluated solutions based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

Analyst Randy Rhodes specifically examined the strengths and cautions of geospatial solutions offered by five global providers of commercial GIS solutions for networks. Schneider Electric is positioned furthest for its ArcFM solution on the “completeness of vision” axis in the Magic Quadrant.

Schneider Electric is an Esri partner, taking advantage of its platform that fully supports cloud, mobility and social and continuous advancements.

In a statement, Schneider Electric said it believes the Gartner positioning to be a result of the breadth of its product, its market understanding and how it is leveraging Esri's enterprise geospatial platform. It also offers biweekly customer meetings to demonstrate agile product developments and gather feedback.

Schneider Electric’s senior vice president of cloud services, John Leiferman, said “GIS is the cornerstone of asset tracking for many utilities across the world, and we continue to strive to help make operations safer, more efficient and more reliable”
