ICN understands that the truck made contact with the dozer while it was being filled with water. The driver was believed to have been trapped for a short time with damage to the door believed to be the cause.

“Boggabri Coal confirms a minor vehicle incident involving a water truck occurred at the mine site at approximately 6.30am today,” an Idemitsu Australia spokesman said yesterday.

“The truck driver suffered no injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. He was discharged from hospital this morning.”
