Hull will manage the company’s technical and operations support for its global platform, taking over from Peabody chairman and chief executive officer Gregory Boyce.

She initially joined Peabody as senior vice-president of engineering and technical services, and most recently held the seat of group executive PRB and Southwest regions. The North Antelope Rochelle mine in Wyoming achieved record volumes of 106 million tons under her leadership.

Hull – a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and Nova University – was previously chief operating officer of Kennecott Utah Copper and held positions with Rio Tinto, Mobil Mining and Minerals, and Mobil Chemical Company.

She will report to senior vice-president of continuous improvement Richard Robison; SVP of supply chain management Carlton Adams; vice-president of asset management Steve Beamer; VP of applied information technology Gary Kalbfleisch; and a soon-to-be-named SVP of engineering services.

Schuller replaces Hull as group executive for the PRB and Southwest US regions, and will be responsible for safe and productive operation of surface operations across the western coalfields. He will report to executive vice-president and COO Eric Ford.

Schuller has been with Peabody since 1986 when he joined as a production supervisor, and has more than 25 years of operations and engineering experience. He was most recently SVP of engineering services for the producer.

A graduate of West Virginia University and the University of Charleston, Schuller has held various mine management positions at US operations and was general manager of underground operations and general manager of mining support for Peabody's Australian operations in Queensland.

He has also been VP of continuous improvement and VP of new mine development.

Schuller will report to Southwest SVP of operations Brad Brown; PRB and Southwest VP of operations support Dan Cartwright; SVP of operations for the PRB Scott Durgin; PRB/Southwest VP of human resources Gregg Heaton; and PRB/Southwest business analytics director Jason Ryan.
