Fairmont Supply taps Compagni

The company said last week Compagni, the company’s former sales and marketing vice president, will take the seat June 1.

Layton had been with Fairmont Supply for 32 years and had been president since April 2003.

During his tenure he was also account manager, branch manager, Northeast operations manager and operations vice president.

When Layton became president, the company had 11 warehouses in seven states. It now has 34 locations in 14 states.

Compagni has been with Fairmont since January 1980, when he joined the company’s Price, Utah office.

He has held the seats of general manager and manager for mountain states operations (with H&J Supply), western operations general manager and operations vice president.

He was appointed sales and marketing vice president in October 2006.

Pennsylvania-headquartered Fairmont is a full-line distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and operating equipment for the mining and industrial sectors.
