The Active Risk Manager software will be used to integrate risk management across all WICET consortium members into a single enterprise-wide system.

The WICET project involves the construction of a coal export facility at Golding Point in Queensland.

The terminal has been developed by a consortium of coal exporters. Eight of them are Stage One owners.

Once fully commissioned WICET will provide more than 80 million tonnes per annum extra coal export capacity at the Port of Gladstone.

First coal shipments through the terminal are planned for 2014.

Active Risk executive chairman Lynton Barker said ARM would help WICET’s members gain visibility of risks and opportunities across the entire project.

“Our customers tell us that bringing together risk data from all partners and sub-contractors into a single secure and auditable system is the right approach to improve the quality of information available for strategic decision making,” he said.
