To be held May 30–31 in Aachen, Germany, the conference will cover operational experiences, productivity increase, operations planning, logistics and machine technology; with special emphasis on automation and IT-supported processes as well as transition from openpit to underground and large-scale underground mines.

Representatives from the mining industry, scientific and financial communities from Australia, Canada, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Russia, South Africa, the United States and the European Union will be giving 43 presentations.

There will also be a range of manufacturers and suppliers exhibiting at the symposium.
