Scheduled for May 6 to 8 at the Union County Agricultural Center, the free school will assist attendees with state and federal compliance standards, educate on how mines can reduce accidents and citations stemming from non-compliance issues, discuss the promotion of general health and safety, and help with the comprehension of safe production procedures.

Specifically, items being covered include:

Introduction to Act, 30 CFR, PPM, Program Bulletins

Part 56 and Part 40 (Miner’s Rights)

Mandatory Records, Preparing for Inspections

Miner Act, Proposed S-Miner Act, Federal Enforcement

Organizers noted the conference materials are being supplied free by the Mine and Quarry Bureau. Pre-registration is required.
