As with the previous show, Austrade is organising an Australian National Pavilion for the event to be held November 4–7.

“This event has been used by many Australian companies to enter the market and establish a presence within a country that is positioned as the world's largest producer and consumer of coal," Austrade said.

It said the expo was ideal for coal mining-related companies involved in equipment and technologies, engineering services, consumables and consulting services.

At the 2006 expo, almost 13,000 visitors attended and 184 exhibitors from 13 countries participated including national pavilions organised by the US, Australia, Germany and Czech Republic.

Austrade is also gathering interest from participants to take part in a potential minesites visit program for one or two coal mines in northern China following the exhibition.

Applications for the Australian pavilion through Austrade close September 19.
