Organised by the University of Queensland and China University of Mining and Technology, the event will be held September 22–24, 2008.
The conference will feature speakers, posters and papers from the international science and engineering research community and industry focusing on exploration, field projects, depletion and geosequestration science and modelling and commercial issues.
Keynote speakers will talk on geosequestration geochemistry, HP adsorption of methane, methane hydrates and gas shales.
Before the symposium a number of short courses will be held and field trips to CBM projects in the Surat and Bowen basins are on offer.
