According to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 20.2 working days were lost per 1000 employees in the coal industry.
Overall in Australia, there were 48 industrial disputes involving 8400 employees, with 11,600 working days lost in the March quarter.
The ABS figures detail the number of disputes, employees involved, working days lost and working days lost per 1000 employees in industrial disputes involving work stoppages of 10 working days or more, classified by state, industry, cause of dispute, working days lost per employee involved and reason work resumed.
