More than 20 activists from environmental group Rising Tide closed the rail line from 9am for about 7.5 hours by occupying a rail bridge.
Police arrested 23 of the activists with the first arrests at midday and the last protester removed about 3pm.
Rising Tide said it was protesting the failure of the UN climate talks in Copenhagen to produce a legally binding treaty.
