The miner said it will apply to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol OXF.

Barclays Capital and Citi will be lead book-running managers of the offering, but no additional offering details were released in the federal documentation.

The shares will be sold as soon as possible once the registration statement is effective.

Oxford is owned by C&T Coal and affiliates of American Infrastructure MLP Fund. C&T is owned by Oxford founders Charles and Thomas Ungurean.

The steam coal producer is the largest surface mine operator in Ohio. It has 19 active subsidiary-run surface complexes, and holds reserves in both Appalachia and the Illinois Basin.
