Macarthur declared force majeure on March 19, but is back into full swing with the resumption of rail services and port output at the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal.

The Queensland coal producer subsequently reconfirmed its full-year sales forecast of 4.8-5.0 million tonnes.

But the recent shipping halt at DBCT following the cyclone caused stockyard volumes to reach full capacity at the port, and halted the rail transportation from Anglo’s Moranbah North, Capcoal and Foxleigh mines.

The major miner declared force majeure on these operations on March 17.

“Full rail transportation recommenced this week,” a company spokesperson told ILN.

“Anglo American will monitor stockyard volumes to determine when force majeure will be lifted.

“Anglo American has been working closely with its customers throughout this period.”
