Under the terms of the agreement, Roche is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the existing surface plant and equipment at the Ulan coal mine to produce coal for sale into the domestic and export coal markets.
Roche said it would employ about 95 personnel at Ulan during the six-year contract period.
The chief executive of Roche, Robert Logan, said the successful tender reflects the company's expertise in "providing comprehensive services to the coal sector and the company's supply capabilities to major projects in remote areas".
"Our objective is to position Roche Mining as the preferred supplier of long-term, comprehensive turnkey mining services," he said.
