Staff Reporter

The 2002 summit registered the highest number of delegates since its inception in 1998, with delegations coming from China, Germany, Finland, the United States and the United Kingdom. Organisers are hoping for an even greater overseas contingent in March.

The 2003 forum will be held for the first time at the Royal Pines resort on the Gold Coast, allowing for an expanded exhibition area, larger conference auditorium, and banqueting facilities for the Australian Longwall Industry Achievement Awards.

The venue is centrally located and easily accessible for both domestic and international delegates, offering all the comforts of a modern resort including two world-class championship gold courses.
