After the show, the machine is destined for a Queensland longwall mine with an additional two on order for the same operation.

The main difference is a new drive package that has eliminated chains and sprockets on both breaker shaft and conveyor drive. The hydraulic direct headshaft drive also offers the advantage of variable speed drive, allowing belt speeds to vary from 0t/h to 1000t/h.

Rated at 1,000 tonne per hour, the new feeder breaker will be the biggest manufactured in Australia by Stamler.

The company will also have its MVT double roll crusher on display. The Match Velocity Technology (MVT) sizer does primary, secondary and tertiary crushing in open-cut coal mines, but has application underground, particularly if a mine is experiencing slabbing problems.

The MVT uses matched velocity technology to optimise reduction ratio, throughput capacity and minimise fines generation. Roll speed is set to match the velocity of the material entering the sizer.

A dozen MVT machines are currently operating in surface open-cut operations and two units have been exported to the US. Stamler is looking at other markets, including possible underground applications.
