The conference has been running since 1980 and attracts senior decision makers from the international coal, steel, shipping and transport industries to do business and negotiate contracts.

Some of the papers being presented include BHP Billiton Energy Coal president Mike Oppenheimer, who will look at coal at the crossroads in mature energy markets; Euracoal president Dietrich Bocker will speak on the current challenges confronting the European coal industry; Dr Wofgang Ritschel will address the evolution of German coal imports; and Kompania Weglowa’s director will investigate the restructuring of the Polish coal industry.

The conference will also provide a comprehensive look at the freight industry.
