The AMP Business Award was won by SRK against finalists from every state and territory. Telstra received more than 4200 nominations this year for the annual event.

Since its start in 1992 as a small specialist geological consulting group, SRK has grown to now offer a wide range of services, such as exploration, resource estimation, geophysical interpretation, mine planning and mine design, geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental studies as well as bankable documents.

SRK just reported its best ever results, in a year that was distinguished by international success with projects in most states of Australia, Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, Libya, Oman, Central African Republic, Canada, Brazil, Chile, The Philippines, Mexico and China.

Continued involvement in China out of Australia culminated in the establishment of a new SRK company, SRK China, based in Beijing, earlier this year.

“Considerable further growth is also being planned for this year. SRK has established an office in the Hunter Valley to service coal clients in that region, and we recently launched a two-year structural geological synthesis study of the Bowen and Surat Basins in Queensland,” managing director Peter Williams said.
