Premier Peter Beattie urged Queenslanders to support the national rally, saying the Queensland Government’s fight against the “extreme” industrial relations legislation would continue.

“These unfair laws are having a negative impact on the lives of ordinary working Australians,” Beattie said.

“Tomorrow is an opportunity for Queenslanders and Australians to join together to remind the Howard Government that we will not forget the human impact of these ridiculous laws, and that we will remember when we go to the polls next year."
