Following entry of the characteristics of a belt conveyor and its cargo, the new system selector on the company’s website will generate a recommendation for the proper components to improve the conveyor’s loading zone.

Users can then link to other pages to view the features, benefits and specifications for the Martin products.

Martin components included in the transfer point system selector include chute work, tail sealing system, skirtboard seals, wear liner, track-mounted idlers, impact cradles, belt support cradles for non-impact areas, dust curtains, belt tracking devices, inspection/access doors and tail protection plows.

To formulate a recommendation, users enter basic information about their application. The information required is specific to each component. The System Selector then generates an itemised bill of materials.

The Martin Transfer Point System Selector includes a section where a user can evaluate the geometry of existing chutes to determine if replacement is necessary.

The online system also includes tools to calculate the theoretical airflow, used to determine dust management requirements, and to retrieve the CEMA material code, to describe material abrasiveness, density, lump size, flowability and other properties.
