The memorandum of understanding between the parties will give joint access to members and clients seeking local and international training or recruitment services.

“This is recognition by each party of the quality the services we can both offer to industry, and an agreement for each to refer our clients to the other party where appropriate,” Site Group chief executive Vernon Wills said.

“Being able to provide this additional link to Site’s services will complement the professional migration representation that CCI’s migration services team delivers to the WA business community,” CCI general manager of workforce solutions Nathan Bentley said.

The relationship will give CCI’s clients greater access to the services of Site Skills Training and Site WorkReady, which operates international, onsite and facility-based, high-risk and short-course training and deployment for the mining, oil and gas, and construction industries.

Site Group chief financial officer Craig Dawson told MiningNews.net its clients would benefit from the partnership.

“It’s recognising the potential for those mining clients that are after a more encompassing solution,” he said.

With some companies across WA scaling back their workforce to adjust to the economic climate, Dawson said expanding its customer base in the mining sector was still achievable.

“There’s still work to be done,” he said.

Shares in Site Group were unchanged at A10c.
