Regional councils in the state have put forward 113 projects for funding as part of round two of the government’s program.

Minister for State Development Jeff Seeney said money from the government’s royalties for regions program would go to funding infrastructure projects in resource communities.

“We have set aside $95 million for round two, bringing the total money invested in critical community infrastructure, roads and flood mitigation projects to $495 million over the four years to 2015-16,” he said.

Seeney said in this round, all councils outside south-east Queensland could apply.

Shortlisted candidates will find out if they have been selected before they submit a detailed business case.

Seeney expects successful projects will be announced by the end of the year.
