Detailed in an 8K form announced by Peabody on Wednesday, a Mine Safety and Health Administration inspector put the mine on notice on January 15.

Peabody said the inspector alleged that excess coal accumulations and coal dust were present in an area within a crusher facility where "hot work" was being conducted.

“Management immediately implemented corrective measures and within five hours the order was terminated and the affected area was released to the mine for normal activities,” Peabody said.
