The company says the RS1500 dramatically reduces the level of fines created and eliminates the need for an impactor or jaw crusher, with variable speed twin shafts for accurate piece sizing.

It has been tested and proven useful both in ports and inland terminals and can be used for a variety of applications, from coal to limestone.

The sizer also boasts a user friendly control system, a hydraulic load sensing system to boost efficiency and a low power consumption of 15 to 20 litres per hour.

With more than 70 million tonnes of coal fines produced in the US each year, the RS1500 could be the first step to reducing the ever-increasing amount of coal fines discarded in slurry ponds or buried under top soil each year.
