The two-day event saw more than 100 exhibitors showcase their latest safety products and innovations.

Innovative products included Wrarco from AT&MC – a certified personal lifting tool container that can be carried as a backpack.

Wrarco is designed to safeguard physical health by preventing worker sprains and strains as well as objects falling from height.

Wrarco can be suspended on the hand rails of scaffolding and scissor lifts, eliminating the possibility of falling objects and the need for workers to bend in order to access or change tools.

Wrarco can also be hoisted up by crane, saving workers from having to manually carry tools up a building.

The conference featured safety experts sharing their knowledge in free seminars.

“Seminar attendees walked away from the show with a huge wealth of insights directly from leaders and experts from a range of safety-related fields,” Safety in Action Australia director Tony Francis said.

“Move 4 Life’s Terry Wong presented an engaging seminar on how to future-proof an ageing workforce against sprain and strain injuries, Workplace Access & Safety tackled safety budget success and the ‘Drinks, Drugs and Work Don’t Mix’ panel discussion touched on hot topics.

“There was something for every safety professional.”

The show recognised the best exhibitor stands with a number of awards.

The Safety in Action judges awarded the hotly contested best stand of 18sq.m and under to Premier Workplace Solutions.

Industrial hardware and safety equipment supplier ATOM was awarded best stand over 18sq.m. Best stand by a new exhibitor award was presented to the creators of Velpic – a cloud-based e-learning, training and induction platform that allows users to create and edit video lessons.

Overall, Francis said the show was a success.

“We are very happy with the positive feedback from Safety in Action Perth. With Perth’s industry growing from strength to strength there has been immense support from WA based companies for the show.”

The final Safety in Action conference of the year will run at the Sydney Showground, Olympic Park, on September 2-4.
