“It comes at a time when Integra has laid off 500 workers, after putting its mines near Singleton into indefinite care and maintenance mode,” the ABC reported.

“Integra Coal is looking to revise its environmental offset area to access $6 billion worth of sterilised coal reserves.”

The New South Wales Office of Environment and Heritage has reportedly found that Integra had an overall shortfall in “ecosystem credits”
