“Sales are booming for products to beat drug testing, which are legally available on the internet,” the ABC reported.

“Some products can be purchased for $70 and come with accessories including heat pads and strap-on devices for men to wear during supervised testing.”

With powdered synthetic urine available in sachets and small boxes, Senior Gold Coast police officer Superintendent Jim Keogh reportedly said the fake urine market was booming.

While Australian privacy standards require urine drug sample testing occurs behind closed doors, Keogh told the broadcaster “stricter control measures could be put in place at mine sites”.

"They could get a medical practitioner to supervise the person who is producing the sample, and that would certainly alleviate the possibility of using a false sample," he reportedly said.
