The award recognises outstanding achievement in international trade and the roles exporting companies play in creating employment and prosperity.
ARO won the award against 21 applicants who were reduced to a shortlist of 14.
“Our commitment and dedication to the export market and our growing percentage of production exported contributed to us winning the award,” said ARO Hydramatic managing director John Wood.
ARO have increased their exports from 65% of production last year to 75% this year. This has also gone hand in hand with increased earnings.
It recently trialed its longwall face bolters in the USA which resulted in three units being exported to longwall mines. Trials were also recently completed in South Africa with promising results and a trial is scheduled in January next year for an operation in the UK.
The company has offices in Australia, UK, USA, South Africa, Germany and representation in Switzerland and China.
