TFS founded the coal derivatives market and launched the TFS API Indices against which all coal swaps are traded.

“We feel that a screen will reinforce our strong reputation in the coal markets and enhance our voice broking team,” said David Jenkins, TFS director of energy products in Europe.

“The recent dynamic growth in coal derivatives has meant that this is now a mature market and as such can support screen trading,” he said.

TFS will be using the TradeCapture software that has already proved a success in the TFS environmental products markets.

Trades conducted on TFS Coal Exchange can be seamlessly linked with TradeCapture’s eTelex suite of applications to automate trade entry, contract confirmations and invoice payment and reconciliation.
