The distribution office was opened as part of a strategic alliance between Struers and Brisbane-based mineralogical business Intellection Pty Ltd to focus on international sales, promotion and support of the Struers and Intellection products.
Struers holds more than 40% of the global market for manufacture of equipment and consumables for materialographic surface preparation of solid materials.
Australian coal analysis laboratories will now have an Australian contact for all Struers equipment sales and service. Benefits also include a fully equipped demonstration laboratory and the ability to hold large stocks of consumables for shorter delivery time to customers.
The partnership allows Intellection to enhance and diversify its own sample presentation offering with system sales. It will also see the two companies combine their research and development programs in the mineralogical segment of the market.
