The remaining three miners are still missing and presumed dead.

The accident occurred on December 2 at the Sigou coal mine, which was operating illegally without a safety licence.

Some 76 miners were working underground at the time of the flood and 34 escaped.

Official news agency Xinhua reported that 10 mine officials had been detained and will face punishment over the accident.
