DMT finalised the purchase of 100% of UK registered IMC on July 25. IMC incorporates International Mining Consultants, British Mining Consultants and Mackay & Schnellmann.
DMT is an independent mining engineering and consulting company having about 600 permanent employees. The company offers services in the fields of natural resources exploration and geology, mining consulting and coke making technology.
The two mining consulting businesses of International Mining Consultants and DMT – Montan Consulting will be merged in order to offer their combined skills and resources to the international market in future.
IMC Group Consulting Limited will become the DMT business to lead the international mining consulting, building on IMC’s established reputation, network and expertise.
The acquisition does not include any of the other IMC Group companies, namely IMC Geophysics and IMC Geophysics International, Rock Mechanics Technology, Associated Mining Consultants in Canada and Gastec at CRE, all of which will continue to develop their own businesses internationally.
