Bowen Energy was set up with the aim to prove in situ resources and then farm-out or joint venture its projects to companies capable of taking over the development and major capital expenditure required.
Over its coal exploration licences Bowen has completed work programs including compilation of digital geophysical, remote sensing and GIS data at its East Middlemount project in preparation for a reconnaissance field program and scout drilling. The work is expected to commence in late June 2007. The East Middlemount project is located 10km from the German Creek East coal mine.
At the West Rolleston Project, located 40km southwest of Springsure and 40km west of Xstrata’s Rolleston mine, Bowen has commenced compilation of digital geophysical, remote sensing and GIS data in preparation of reconnaissance field programs and scout drilling expected to begin in late June.
Bowen has also made inroads into exploration at its uranium projects in Queensland and Western Australia.
Bowen Energy was trading at 30c this morning.
