Robertson takes Qld mines portfolio

QRC chief executive Michael Roche said Robertson’s experience in the mines and energy portfolio from 2001-04 would be complemented by his additional role as trade minister.

“With Queensland’s resources sector forecast to be worth almost $A50 billion to the Queensland economy in 2008-09, Premier Bligh’s appointment of a senior minister to the portfolio is very welcome,” Roche said.

Robertson was most recently health minister.
