Malabar chairman Wayne Seabrook told the company’s annual meeting that it had received a Gateway Certificate from the NSW government and the project’s preliminary environmental assessment and request for environmental assessment requirements had been lodged.
He said mining lease applications had also been submitted and key properties on the exploration licence had been acquired.
Spur Hill has 626 million tonnes of resources, 394Mt of which are indicated.
Seabrook said the project also had 91Mt of probable reserves, however, reserves were expected to increase as more field work and engineering studies were completed.
