Last month Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk called a snap election for November 25 leaving the government in caretaker mode for four weeks.

Stanmore said the Isaac Plains East project had progressed successfully through the Public Notification Period.

“The project’s bankable feasibility study is nearing completion, and Environmental Approval conditions and associated agreements for the mining lease are being negotiated,” it said.

A detailed three dimensional seismic survey of Stanmore’s proposed seperate Isaac Plains underground project was undertaken in the September quarter with analysis under way.

Associated technical studies are progressing in parallel and the company is holding the timing of its investment decision to progress to a bankable feasibility study during Q2 FY18.
