Global coal use for power to decline 8% by 2030: IEA

COAL for power use will remain on average 8% lower through to 2030 than in pre-pandemic crisis levels due to a combination of expanding renewables, cheap natural gas and coal phase-out policies, the International Energy Agency believes.
