ASIC takes Merlin to court

THE Australian Securities and Investments Commission has asked the Federal Court to wind up suspended Australian Securities Exchange-listed diamond explorer Merlin and appoint liquidators after $13 million was loaned to a private company linked to controversial mining magnate and former Melbourne Football Club president Joseph Gutnick.
