Sandfire profits soar

HIGHER commodity prices delivered a windfall for Sandfire Resources over the first half with record sales revenue of US$311.8 million and a net profit after tax of US$55.2 million.

The company enjoyed increased margins with higher base metal prices, though this was offset in part by higher energy costs and global inflation pressures.

C1 costs sat at US$1.10 per pound.
